This descriptive research endeavours to analyse the level of job satisfaction and motivation prevalent among employees of SFL and explore the impact of motivation on job satisfaction by administering a well structured interview schedule to 100 employees selected at a random. Using the statistical tools of Mean, Cluster analysis, Correspondence analysis, Anova, Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA), Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) and Regression, the study has revealed that the employees of SFL are pretty satisfied with their job and well-motivated. Employees with lesser education and income and those in lower cadre display lesser degree of job satisfaction while those with lesser work service, age, education, income and cadre and male employees possess relatively lower level of motivation. Only 12 and 5 employees are least motivated and discontented with their job. Motivation exerts significant positive impact on job satisfaction. Keywords

Organizations throughout the world are persistently striving hard to develop new and innovative ways to enhance their performance and competitiveness. Effective green supply chain management (GSCM) has become a potentially valuable means to secure competitive advantage and improve performance of the firm in the global market place. GSCM also helps to sustain natural ecosystems and human populations with a high standard of living. This research conceptualizes and tests the dimensions of green SCM practice, competitive advantage, and performance dimensions. Data for the study were collected from 62 manufacturing organizations and the relationships proposed in the framework were tested using Partial Least Square (PLS)-Structural Equation Modeling and moderating effects through Sobel Test. The results indicate that green SCM practices have a positive impact on competitive advantage and performance of the manufacturing enterprises. Keywords

Disabled persons are more likely to be unemployed when compared with those without disabilities. This descriptive research tries to analyze the profile of disabled persons in Karaikal and Puducherry and find out the reasons for disabled being unemployed. Results of the study reveal that a quarter of disabled have remained unemployed for a very long period despite their willingness to work due to lack of qualifications, proper career guidance, inadequate support from banks to start business ventures and other people discouraging them from finding a job. Keywords

The Cadbury Report defines Corporate Governance as the "system by which businesses are directed and controlled" (Cadbury, 1992). Corporate governance refers to generally accepted norms, customs, laws, habits and regulations determining the manner of running the company. Though concrete evidence does not substantiate the relationship between good corporate governance and creation of value for an organization, there is strong evidence in the past to affirm the destruction of good values by bad corporate governance. This descriptive research endeavours to establish the relationship between financial performance of firms and corporate governance of 30 Indian companies, listed on the BSE. Data pertaining to Return on Assets and Corporate Governance variables of Board Size (number of directors in board), Duality (if chairman and managing director are same), Remuneration to the board of directors, independence (Number of non-executive directors) and Board Ownership (Shareholding pattern of promoter and promoter's group) of these companies have been collected for the five year period of 01/04/2009 to 31/03/2014 from moneycontrol.com and CMIE data source and analysed using SPSS, employing the statistical tools of correlation, regression and Mean. Results reveal that the two Corporate Governance variables of Board Ownership and Duality are exerting a significant impact on ROA at 5% level. Keywords
